SDP   The Selma Development Partnership was formed in early 2003 to support the advancement of Selma's goal as a premier community and corporate destination. The partnership became an incorporated (501c-3) non-profit association in late 2004. It's stated purpose is to develop, improve and preserve the quality of life for Selma's citizens and business. It's membership is open to any current resident of Selma or a representative of any business located within the Town of Selma.
 

Selma Farmer’s Market
will start up March 28, 2009

  The Selma Development Partnership (SDP) will be starting a Farmer’s Market at the west end of Anderson Street in Selma, NC [Next to the Cotton Mill Flee Market]. It will be on Saturdays only at 9:00 AM until. All individuals wishing to sell or purchase fresh produce are invited to this opening day. A Free 10ft. by 15ft. space for each seller will be available the first two Saturdays (3/28/2009 and 4/4/2009).
  Access to Fresh Local Produce is a big plus for our communities during these economic times. See you there.

Oktoberfest 2008 - The second annual Oktoberfest was held in Selma, NC on Saturday, September 13. The food was great and The Little German Band and Dancers were outstanding. The crowd was synchronized with the beat and fun was had by all. The event was sponsored by Edelweiss Café www.edelweiss-bakery.com  and the entertainment was provided by The Little German Band and Dancers www.prosit.org  You can view photos and videos at.

Fireworks
"Thousands watched as the sky was lit non-stop for approximately 20 minutes during Selma's Fifth Annual All-American Festival in Uptown Selma Friday. Selma's strategic plan presented
The strategic planning committee presented its findings at the May council meeting. You can view this report in pdf file on the Town of Selma website. 5th annual All-American Festival to be held in Uptown Selma on July 4, 2008. The festival begins at 5:00pm with arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, live entertainment, a children’s area and concludes at 9:15pm with  fireworks. If you haven’t seen our fireworks presentation it is very unique and special. This year we want to make it the best ever. Selma Parks & Recreation (919) 975-1411)
